Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds that scatter the dust, 1 Then those clouds bearing the load (of minute things in space). 2 And the ships that glide with ease. 3 then by the distributors (angels), ordered; 4 What you are threatened with is most surely true, 5 and the Day of Judgment will inevitably take place. 6 I swear by the heaven full of ways. 7 Indeed, you are in differing speech. 8 and perverted therefrom are some. 9 Slain be those who mould from their imaginations. 10 Those who are in heedlessness neglectful. 11 asking, 'When shall be the Day of Doom?' 12 (It is) the day on which they shall be tried at the fire. 13 (And it will be said unto them): Taste your torment (which ye inflicted). This is what ye sought to hasten. 14 Surely the God-fearing will find themselves in the midst of gardens and springs. 15 Taking that which their Lord giveth them; for lo! aforetime they were doers of good; 16 They were in the habit of sleeping but little by night, 17 And every morning asked forgiveness, 18 and in their wealth was a share for whosoever asked and for whosoever was prevented. 19 There are many Signs on earth for those of sure faith, 20 and also in your own selves. Do you not see? 21 And in heaven is your Sustenance, as (also) that which ye are promised. 22 So by the Lord of heaven and earth, it is as true as your speech. 23
