We built the heavens by Our authority; and We are the Lord of power and expanse. 47 And the earth, We have made it a wide extent; how well have We then spread (it) out. 48 And of every thing We have created pairs: That ye may receive instruction. 49 Therefore hasten to God; truly, I am sent by Him to give you clear warning. 50 and do not set up any deity with Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Similarly, whenever a Noble Messenger came to those before them they always said, “He is a magician or a madman.” 52 Have they (the people of the past) transmitted this saying to these (Quraish pagans)? Nay, they are themselves a people transgressing beyond bounds (in disbelief)! 53 Turn away from them. You will not be blamed. 54 And admonish, for verily admonition profiteth the believers. 55 I created the jinn and humankind only that they might worship Me. 56 I do not ask any sustenance from them, nor wish that they give Me food. 57 Surely, Allah is the Provider, the Possessor of Power, the Mighty. 58 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a portion of torment like to the evil portion of torment (which came for) their likes (of old), so let them not ask Me to hasten on! 59 Therefore woe to those who disbelieve because of their day which they are threatened with. 60
