So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Or do they say: A poet, we wait for him the evil accidents of time. 30 Say, "Wait, I too am waiting with you". 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say, "He has made it up"? Rather, they do not believe. 33 Then let them bring an announcement like it if they are truthful. 34 Or were they created by nothing, or were they the creators [of themselves]? 35 Or did they create the heavens and the earth? Nay, but they are sure of nothing! 36 Or do they have the treasures of your Lord, or are they the authority? 37 Or have they a ladder, by which they can (climb up to heaven and) listen (to its secrets)? Then let (such a) listener of theirs produce a manifest proof. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you, [O Muhammad], ask of them a payment, so they are by debt burdened down? 40 Or have they [knowledge of] the unseen, so they write [it] down? 41 Or do they intend a plot (against you O Muhammad SAW)? But those who disbelieve (in the Oneness of Allah Islamic Monotheism) are themselves in a plot! 42 Or do they have a God besides Allah? Purity is to Allah from their ascribing of partners to Him. 43 If they should see a part of the heavens falling down, they would say, "A mass of clouds," 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 Surely a chastisement awaits the wrong-doers even before the coming of that Day; but most of them do not know. 47 So wait patiently (O Muhammad SAW) for the Decision of your Lord, for verily, you are under Our Eyes, and glorify the Praises of your Lord when you get up from sleep. 48 And glorify Him in the night and when the stars begin to wane. 49
