HAST THOU, then, ever considered him who turns away [from remembering Us, and cares for no more than the life of this world,] 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 Namely, that no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another; 38 That a man receives but only that for which he strives; 39 And that his effort will be seen. 40 Then he will be fully repaid for it? 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him is another bringing forth. 47 and that it is He alone who frees from want and causes to possess; 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 and He overthrew the subverted cities [of Sodom and Gomorrah] 53 and caused them to be covered with that which He covered them with. 54 Then which of thy Lord's bounties disputest thou? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 that [Last Hour] which is so near draws ever nearer, 57 None but God can avert it. 58 Do you, perchance, find this tiding strange? 59 Will you laugh at it rather than weep? 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
