So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Or has he not been informed of what was in the scriptures of Moses 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and will be fully recompensed for his deeds. 41 And that thy Lord, He is the goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that He createth the two spouses, the male and the female, 45 From the small seed when it is adapted 46 That the second creation is incumbent on Him; 47 That it is He Who giveth wealth and satisfaction; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And Thamud (people). He spared none of them. 51 and before them the nation of Noah, they exceeded in evil and were insolent. 52 He plunged the villages 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This (Muhammad SAW) is a warner (Messenger) of the (series of) warners (Messengers) of old. 56 The threatened Hour is nigh. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 At this discourse then marvel ye? 59 And you laugh at it and weep not, 60 while you are thoughtless? 61 Rather prostrate yourselves before Allah and serve Him. ۩ 62
