S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
Sad. I swear by the Quran, which is full of reminders of God, (that you are a Messenger). 1 Nay! those who disbelieve are in self-exaltation and opposition. 2 How many a nation did We destroy before them! (When they approached their doom) they cried out (for deliverance), but the time for deliverance was already past. 3 Now these [people] deem it strange that a warner should have come unto them from their own midst - and [so] the deniers of the truth are saying: "A [mere] spellbinder is he, a liar! 4 “Has he made all the Gods into One God? This is really something very strange!” 5 Their leaders departed, saying, "Walk away! Hold fast to your deities. This is clearly a conspiracy. 6 "We never heard (the like) of this among the people of these latter days: this is nothing but a made-up tale!" 7 Hath unto him the admonition been sent down from amongst us! Yea! they are in doubt concerning My admonition. Yea! they have not yet tasted My torment. 8 Or is it that they have the treasures of the mercy of your Lord, the Mighty, the great Giver? 9 Or, is theirs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them? Then let them ascend by (their) means! 10 This is just one of the disgraced armies, that will be routed there and then. 11 The people of Nuh and Ad, and Firon, the lord of spikes, rejected (apostles) before them. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lut, and the Companions of the Wood; - such were the Confederates. 13 Not one of them but did deny the messengers, therefor My doom was justified, 14
