[AND] the people of Lot gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 160 Behold, their brother Lut said to them: "Will ye not fear (Allah)? 161 “I am indeed a trustworthy Noble Messenger of Allah to you.” 162 Have fear of God and obey me. 163 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 164 Why do you go for males unlike all other creatures 165 And leave ye your spouses your Lord hath created for you? Aye! ye are a people trespassing. 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 He said: 'Truly, I am a detester of what you do' 168 My Lord! Save me and my household from what they do. 169 Then We delivered him and all his family 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not Muslims. 174 Yet surely your Lord is mighty and powerful. 175
