The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 when the stars are thrown down, 2 And when the mountains shall made to pass away; 3 The ten-month pregnant female camels are abandoned, 4 the wild beasts are herded together, 5 And when the seas shall become as blazing Fire or shall overflow; 6 And when souls are united, 7 And when the girl buried alive shall be asked: 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 And when Hellfire is set ablaze 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So verily, I swear by the planets that recede (i.e. disappear during the day and appear during the night). 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 17 by the dawn sighing, 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 The mighty, the honoured in the presence of the Lord of the Throne. 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not insane. 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 Nor of the unseen is he a tenacious concealer. 24 This is not the utterance of an accursed devil. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 So let those who want, choose the right guidance 28 And you do not please except that Allah please, the Lord of the worlds. 29
