Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Nay, I swear by the Day of Resurrection; 1 And I swear by the self-reproaching soul. 2 Does man (a disbeliever) think that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 None the less man chooses to deny what lies ahead of him, 5 'When will the Day of Resurrection be' he asks, 6 At length, when the sight is dazed, 7 And the moon is eclipsed 8 and the sun and the moon are brought together 9 on that Day will man exclaim "Whither to flee?" 10 By no means! NO refuge! 11 Upon that day the recourse shall be to thy Lord. 12 On that Day man will be informed of what he sent forward (of his evil or good deeds), and what he left behind (of his good or evil traditions). 13 Rather, man, against himself, will be a witness, 14 even though he may veil himself in excuses. 15 Do not move your tongue with it (the Revelation) to hasten it. 16 It is for Us to collect it and to give you (O Muhammad SAW) the ability to recite it (the Quran), 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 And thereafter verily upon us is the expounding thereof. 19 But no. You love this transient life, 20 and leave be the Hereafter. 21 That day will faces be resplendent, 22 Looking at their Lord. 23 and upon that day faces shall be scowling, 24 thou mightest think the Calamity has been wreaked on them. 25 NAY, but when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 26 and it is said: 'Who is a healing chanter' 27 And he will realise that this is the parting. 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 To your Lord on that day shall be the driving. 30
