The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are made to vanish, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together; 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 questions are asked about the baby girls buried alive, 8 For what sin she was killed? 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when Paradise shall be brought near, 13 (Then) shall each soul know what it has put forward. 14 No indeed; I swear by the alternating stars 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 And the night when it departs, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 Truly, this is the word brought by a noble messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 he indeed saw the message-bearer on the clear horizon; 23 He (Muhammad) is not accused of lying about the unseen. 24 Nor is this the utterance of a devil worthy to be stoned. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is certainly the guidance for all (jinn and mankind). 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
