The Quake (Al-Zalzalah)

8 verses, revealed in Medina after Women (Al-Nesaa) before Iron (Al-Hadeed)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

When the earth is shaken to her (utmost) convulsion, 1 And the earth brings forth her burdens, 2 And man says, “What has happened to it?” 3 On that Day will she declare her tidings: 4 for that her Lord has inspired her. 5 Upon that day men shall issue in scatterings to see their works, 6 Whosoever has done even an atom's weight of good will behold it; 7 And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it. 8

True are the words of God the Almighty.
