The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most High, 1 Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion; 2 who determined and guided, 3 who brings forth the pastures, 4 then turns it into black stubble. 5 WE SHALL teach thee, and thou wilt not forget [aught of what thou art taught,] 6 save what God wills; surely He knows what is spoken aloud and what is hidden. 7 And We will ease you toward ease. 8 Therefore advise, if advising is beneficial. 9 He who fears [Allah] will be reminded. 10 but the most wretched shall avoid it, 11 who will enter the Great Fire, 12 then he shall neither die therein, nor live. 13 Indeed whosoever purifies himself (by avoiding polytheism and accepting Islamic Monotheism) shall achieve success, 14 And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer. 15 But rather you prefer the life of this world! 16 Though the life to come is better and abiding. 17 Most surely this is in the earlier scriptures, 18 the scrolls of Abraham and Moses. 19
