The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) who pull out (the souls of the disbelievers and the wicked) with great violence; 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and those that outstrip suddenly 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 [HENCE, think of] the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world,] 6 And the second followeth it, 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 and their eyes shall be humbled. 9 They say: 'What, are we being restored as we were before, 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: that then shall be a losing return. 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Has there reached you the story of Moses? - 15 His Lord called out to him by the sacred valley of Tuwa: 16 "Go thou to Pharaoh for he has indeed transgressed all bounds: 17 Then say thou: wouldst thou to be purified? 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Then Moses (went to Pharaoh and) showed him the Great Sign; 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away in a hurry, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 then said: 'I am your lord, the most high' 24 But Allah did punish him, (and made an) example of him, - in the Hereafter, as in this life. 25 Surely in that is a lesson for him who fears! 26
