۞ But nay! I swear by the falling of stars; 75 And lo! that verily is a tremendous oath, if ye but knew - 76 that this is an honorable Quran 77 In a Register well-protected; 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 80 Do you, then, take this discourse in light esteem, 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when the soul of the dying man reaches the throat, 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 – at that moment when We are closer to him than you, although you do not see (Us) 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he (the dying person) be of those on the Right Hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 But if he is of the deniers and the errants, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And a hurling into the blazing fire. 94 That indeed is the absolute truth. 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96
