Have you seen the one who turned away 33 Gives a little, then hardens (his heart)? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his trust? -- 37 That no soul shall bear another's burden, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that (the result of) his striving shall soon be seen, 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 And that He it is Who giveth death and giveth life; 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 that He it is Who bestowed wealth and riches, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former (tribe of) A'ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 He plunged the villages 53 and covered them with torment. 54 About which, then, of thy Sustainer's powers canst thou [still] remain in doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Judgment is drawing nearer. 57 None except Allah can avert it. 58 So are you surprised at this fact? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 While you are indulging in varieties. 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
