(O Prophet), did you see him who turned away (from the Path of Allah), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Has he knowledge of the Unknown that he perceives everything? 35 Has he not been informed of what is in the Scrolls of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim who faithfully fulfilled? 37 That no soul laden bears the load of another, 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Then he will be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense 41 And that to your Lord is the finality 42 and that it is He who makes to laugh, and that makes to weep, 43 that it is He who causes death and gives life; 44 and that He Himself created the two sexes: male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 that it was He that destroyed ancient Aad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And also the people of Nuh aforetime. Verily they were even greater wrong-doers and more contumacious. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 and then covered them from sight forever. 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 THIS IS a warning like those warnings of old: 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 None beside Allah can disclose it. 58 Will you, then, wonder at this? 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 So prostrate to Allah and worship [Him]. ۩ 62
