Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 And gave a little and [then] refrained? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the unseen, thus, he sees (all things)? 35 Has not he been informed of the contents of the Book of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 and that nought shall be accounted unto man but what he is striving for; 39 and that in time [the nature of] all his striving will be shown [to him in its true light,] 40 whereupon he shall be requited for it with the fullest requital; 41 And that the end is only towards your Lord? 42 That it is He Who granteth Laughter and Tears; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that it is He who created pairs, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that upon Him (Allah) is another bringing forth (Resurrection); 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 He plunged the villages 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Which then of thy Lord's benefits wilt thou doubt? 55 This is a warner of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 [although] none but God can unveil it.... 58 Do you then marvel at this discourse, 59 and do they laugh instead of weeping, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
