Have you [Prophet] considered the man who turned away, 33 And he gave a little, then refrained? 34 What! Has he knowledge of the Unseen so that he can see? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 And with Abraham who kept his word: 37 That no laden one shall bear another's load, 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 And that his effort is going to be seen - 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 and that it is He alone who deals death and grants life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop of liquid, when it is added? 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 It is He who grants people temporary and durable wealth. 48 and that He is the Lord of (the star) Sirius, 49 And that it is He Who destroyed the (powerful) ancient 'Ad (people), 50 And that Thamud! He left not. 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And the subverted cities He overthrew. 53 and covered them with torment. 54 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 55 This is a Warner, of the (series of) Warners of old! 56 The approaching event has come near. 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 Will you remain proudly heedless? 61 So prostrate yourselves before Allah and worship. ۩ 62
