So did you observe him who turned away? 33 And gave little, and then stopped? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or hath he not had news of what is in the books of Moses 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 Certainly no one will bear the responsibility of the sins of another, 38 nor can man achieve anything without hard labor. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that unto thy Lord is the goal. 42 And that He it is who maketh laugh, and maketh weep, 43 That it is He Who granteth Death and Life; 44 And that it is He Who has created the two pairs, male and female? 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 and that it is He who gives wealth and riches, 48 and that it is He who is the Lord of Sirius, 49 And that He destroyed the former 'A-ad. 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace of them, 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 It is He who turned upside down the people of Lot 53 And covered them by that which He covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The Imminent is imminent; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 And will ye laugh and not weep,- 60 And you are lost in play! 61 Therefore prostrate for Allah, and worship Him.
