Have you seen him who turns his back, 33 Who gives but little, and is niggardly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And Abraham who paid his debt: 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for- 39 And that his effort will soon be scrutinised? 40 Then shall he be rewarded for it with the fullest reward- 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 and that it is He alone who causes [you] to laugh and to weep; 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 and He it is Who created the two kinds, the male and the female, 45 from a discharged living germ 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 And that it is He Who has given wealth and contentment? 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He overthrew the Cities of the Plain, 53 So there covered them that which covered. 54 On which then of your Lord's signs do you cast doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 The imminent Hour has drawn near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 So prostrate yourselves before God and worship him. ۩ 62
True are the words of God the Almighty.
