The warnings came also to Pharaoh's folk. 41 They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent. 42 Are your Unbelievers, (O Quraish), better than they? Or have ye an immunity in the Sacred Books? 43 Or say they: We are a host victorious? 44 The hosts shall soon be routed and they shall be put to flight. 45 In fact their promise is upon the Last Day – and the Last Day is very severe and very bitter! 46 Verily the culprits shall be in great error and madness. 47 The Day they will be dragged in the Fire on their faces (it will be said to them): "Taste you the touch of Hell!" 48 BEHOLD, everything have We created in due measure and proportion; 49 and Our ordaining [a thing and its coming into being] is but one [act,] like the twinkling of an eye. 50 Thus, indeed, did We destroy people like you [in the past]: who, then, is willing to take it to heart? 51 And everything they have wrought is in the Writs. 52 All things small or great have been written down. 53 The pious ones will live in Paradise wherein streams flow, 54 In an Assembly of Truth, in the Presence of a Sovereign Omnipotent. 55
