The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ AR-RAHMAN 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created man, 3 And taught him to express clearly. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 In order that ye may not transgress (due) balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And the earth! He hath lain it out for the creatures. 10 therein fruits, and palm-trees with sheaths, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which of the bounties of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 13 He has created man from dry, rotten clay like the potter's, 14 and jinn from the many colored flames of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 18 He released the two seas, meeting [side by side]; 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 23 Also, His are the ships that run, raised up like mountains upon the sea. 24 Which favors of your Lord will you both belie? 25
