The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 Has taught the Qur’an to His beloved Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him). 2 He created the human being 3 He taught distinctness. 4 The sun and the moon move according to a fixed reckoning; 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 He spread out the earth for the people. 10 In which are fruits, and covered dates. 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 16 [He is] the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunrise, and the Sustainer of the two farthest points of sunset. 17 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 18 He hath loosed the two seas. They meet. 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 21 From them come forth the pearl and the coral. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships displayed upon the sea, like banners. 24 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 25
