The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Merciful 1 It is He Who has taught the Qur'an. 2 has created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning. 5 And the grasses and the trees bow (to Him) in adoration. 6 And the heaven! He hath elevated it, and He hath set the balance. 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And He has set up the earth for all beings. 10 Therein is fruit and palms having sheathed clusters, 11 And grain having husks and scented plants. 12 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 and He created the jinn of a smokeless fire. 15 How many favours of your Lord will you then deny? 16 Lord of the two easts and of the two wests is He. 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let forth the two seas, they meet together, 19 With an interstice between them which they cannot cross. 20 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 21 From the two oceans comes pearls and coral. 22 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 23 His are the ships, towering on the sea like mountains. 24 O which of your Lord's bounties will you and you deny? 25
