The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence 2 (Many) will it bring low; (many) will it exalt; 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 and the mountains are shattered into [countless] shards, 5 So that they will become floating dust particles. 6 And ye are classes three. 7 The People on the Right: and how fortunate will be the People on the Right! 8 Companions of the Left (O Companions of the Left!) 9 But the foremost shall be [they who in life were] the foremost [in faith and good works]: 10 These will be those Nearest to Allah: 11 In gardens of tranquility; 12 a host of the ancients 13 And a few of those of later time. 14 On lined couches, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With bowls and ewers and a cup from a pure spring 18 (no brows throbbing, no intoxication) 19 And fruit; that they may choose. 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire to eat; 21 and fair maidens with large, lustrous eyes 22 as the likeness of hidden pearls, 23 a recompense for all that they did. 24 They shall not hear therein vain or sinful discourse, 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 Those on the Right, how fortunate are those on the Right! 27 (They will be) among thornless lote-trees, 28 and banana trees, 29 Lengthened shadows, 30 By water flowing constantly, 31 and fruit abounding, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 and upraised couches. 34 We have formed them in a distinctive fashion, 35 having resurrected them as virgins, 36 full of love, well-matched 37 For those on the Right Hand. 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
