The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ When there happeneth the Event. 1 – and then there will be no one to deny its occurrence – 2 It will abase some and exalt others. 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 So they will become like fine dust, scattered in a shaft of light. 6 [on that Day] you shall be divided into three groups. 7 The people of the right hand - those whose books of records will be placed in their right hands. How happy they will be! 8 And the Companions of the Left Hand,- what will be the Companions of the Left Hand? 9 And those Foremost (in Faith) will be Foremost (in the Hereafter). 10 (The foremost ones) will be the nearest ones to God 11 in the Gardens of Bliss. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 And a few from among the latter. 14 On thrones woven [with ornament], 15 they shall recline, facing each other, 16 Youths of never-ending bloom will pass round to them 17 With cups, and jugs, and a glass from the flowing wine, 18 Whereby there shall be neither headiness nor will they be inebriated. 19 And fruit of what they select 20 And the flesh of fowl such as they desire. 21 And gorgeous eyed fair maidens. 22 The likenesses of pearls well-protected, 23 Reward for what they used to do. 24 Not frivolity will they hear therein, nor any taint of ill,- 25 except each other's greetings of, "Peace be with you". 26 As for the People on the Right, how fortunate shall be the people on the Right! 27 mid thornless lote-trees 28 and clustered bananas, 29 And extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 And fruit in plenty, 32 unfailing, unforbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Lo! We have created them a (new) creation 35 and We made them spotless virgins, 36 The beloved of their husbands, of one age. 37 For the fellows on the right hand. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
