O apostles! eat of the good things and do good; surely I know what you do. 51 Your nation is but one nation, and I am your Lord, therefore fear Me. 52 Then they cut their affair among them in regard to the Scriptures; each band in that which is with them rejoicing. 53 (Muhammad), leave them alone in their dark ignorance for an appointed time. 54 Do they imagine that the wealth and children We have provided 55 We would hasten them on in every good? Nay, they do not understand. 56 Verily those who live in awe for fear of their Lord; 57 And those who believe in the signs of their Lord – 58 And they who do not associate anything with their Lord 59 Who give whatsoever they give (in His way), and their hearts tremble with fear that they have to go back to their Lord, 60 These are hastening on to good, and they are therein foremost. 61 On no soul do We place a burden greater than it can bear: before Us is a record which clearly shows the truth: they will never be wronged. 62 Nay, but their hearts are covered (blind) from understanding this (the Quran), and they have other (evil) deeds, besides, which they are doing. 63 Till, when We seize with the chastisement the ones of them that live at ease, behold, they groan. 64 (We shall say): 'Do not groan today, surely you shall receive no help from Us' 65 “My verses were recited to you, so you used to turn back on your heels.” 66 Stiff-necked, discoursing thereof by night, reviling. 67 Is it then that they do not ponder over what is said, or is it that there has come to them that which did not come to their fathers of old? 68 Or is it that they were unaware of their Messenger and were therefore repelled by him for he was a stranger to them? 69 Or do they say, "He is possessed"? Nay, he has brought them the Truth, but most of them hate the Truth. 70 Had the truth followed their fancies, the heavens, the earth, and all who live in them would have surely been corrupted. No, We brought them their Remembrance; but from their Remembrance they turn away. 71 Or, is it that thou askest of them any maintenance? The maintenance of thy Lord is better, and He is the Best of providers. 72 And certainly, you (O Muhammad SAW) call them to a Straight Path (true religion Islamic Monotheism). 73 But indeed, those who do not believe in the Hereafter are deviating from the path. 74 ۞ And though We had mercy on them and removed the distress which is on them, still they would obstinately persist in their transgression, wandering blindly. 75 We seized them with the punishment, but they did not surrender to their Lord, nor will they humble themselves 76 Until when We shall open upon them a portal of severe torment, and lo! thereat they are desparing. 77
