We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them and they were victorious. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them on the straight path. 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Moses and Aaron! 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 They were two of Our believing servants. 122 And Ilyas was most surely of the apostles. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 "Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?" 126 But they denied him [Iliyas (Elias)], so they will certainly be brought forth (to the punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 Peace be with the followers of Elias. 130 This is how We reward the virtuous. 131 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 Lot, too, was among the Messengers. 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman who was among those who lagged behind: 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by their ruins morning 137 And at night. Will ye not therefore reflect? 138
