The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the heaven with its impregnable castles; 1 And [by] the promised Day 2 and by the witness and what is witnessed: 3 Woe to the makers of the pit (of fire), 4 Full of fire fed by faggots, 5 When they were sitting near it 6 and they were witnesses of what they did to the believers 7 They had naught against them save that they believed in Allah, the Mighty, the Owner of Praise, 8 To whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. And Allah, over all things, is Witness. 9 Surely those who tormented the believing men and the believing women and then did not repent, theirs shall be the chastisement of Hell, and theirs shall be the chastisement of burning. 10 Lo! those who believe and do good works, theirs will be Gardens underneath which rivers flow. That is the Great Success. 11 Stern indeed is your Lord's punishment. 12 Indeed it is He Who initiates and redoes. 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Doer (without let) of all that He intends. 16 HAS IT ever come within thy ken, the story of the [sinful] hosts 17 Of Firon and Samood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 Whereas Allah is, from behind them, Encompassing. 20 This is indeed the glorious Qur'an 21 Inscribed in a tablet preserved. 22
