Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the snorting, panting horses, 1 then raise sparks of fire (by their hoofs), 2 rushing to assault at morn, 3 Stirring up thereby [clouds of] dust, 4 which engulfs the enemy. 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 He himself bears witness to that. 7 And violent is he in his love of wealth. 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 And there shall be brought to light that which is in the breasts? 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
