۞ But We shall say, "Assemble those who did wrong together with their associates and what they worshipped 22 “Instead of Allah – and herd them to the path leading to hell.” 23 “And stop them – they are to be questioned.” 24 What aileth you that ye help not one another? 25 Nay! on that Day they will be entirely submissive. 26 And some of them draw near unto others, mutually questioning. 27 These say, 'Why, you of old would come to us from the right hand.' 28 They will say: “Nay, you yourselves were not the ones who would believe. 29 We had no authority over you, but you were an insolent nation. 30 "So now the Word of our Lord has been justified against us, that we shall certainly (have to) taste (the torment). 31 So we led you astray; we ourselves were strayed.” 32 Then verily, that Day, they will (all) share in the torment. 33 Indeed, that is how We deal with the criminals. 34 Whenever it was said to them: “There is no true deity apart from Allah,” they waxed proud 35 And they used to say, “Shall we forsake our Gods upon the sayings of a mad poet?” 36 Nay! he (Muhammad SAW) has come with the truth (i.e. Allah's Religion - Islamic Monotheism and this Quran) and he confirms the Messengers (before him who brought Allah's religion - Islamic Monotheism). 37 You shall certainly taste the painful punishment: 38 “And you will not be compensated except for your deeds.” 39 But not the chosen servants of Allah. 40 For them is a known sustenance, 41 a variety of delicious fruits; and they shall be honoured 42 in the Gardens of Delight, 43 They will be seated upon couches set face to face; 44 A cup will be passed round among them [with a drink] from unsullied springs, 45 delicious to those who drink it 46 causing no headiness or intoxication. 47 They will have with them loving wives with big black and white eyes 48 [as free of faults] as if they were hidden [ostrich] eggs. 49 Then they will advance unto each other, mutually questioning. 50 one of them will say, "I had a friend, 51 “Who used to tell me, ‘Do you believe it is true?’ – 52 What! when we are dead and have become dust and bones, shall we then be certainly brought to judgment? 53 [And] he adds: "Would you like to look [and see him]?" 54 So he looked down and saw him in the midst of the Fire. 55 He shall say: By Allah! you had almost caused me to perish; 56 “And were it not for the munificence of my Lord, I too would have been seized and brought forth (captive)!” 57 So, are we not going to die, 58 [again,] beyond our previous death, and that we shall never [again] be made to suffer? 59 Indeed, this is the mighty victory, 60 for which one must strive hard. 61 Is this a better hospitality or the tree of AzZakkum! 62 We have made this (tree) a trial for the evildoers. 63 It is a tree that comes forth in the root of Hell; 64 Its emerging fruit as if it was heads of the devils. 65 And lo! they verily must eat thereof, and fill (their) bellies therewith. 66 And thereafter verily they shall have thereon a draught of boiling water. 67 Then indeed, their return will be to the Hellfire. 68 They found their fathers in error, 69 and rushed to follow them. 70 And verily most of the men of old went astray before them, 71 And verily We sent among them warners. 72 and behold what happened in the end to those that had been warned [to no avail]! 73 Only Our sincere servants were saved. 74
