The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Allah, the Most Gracious 1 has taught the Koran. 2 Created man, 3 [And] taught him eloquence. 4 The sun and the moon run on their fixed courses (exactly) calculated with measured out stages for each (for reckoning, etc.). 5 and the stars and the trees bow themselves; 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 In order that you may not transgress (due) balance. 8 But observe the measure strictly, nor fall short thereof. 9 It is He Who has spread out the earth for (His) creatures: 10 Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates] 11 And the grain with (its) husk and fragrance. 12 Which favors of your Lord will you both (humans and jinn) belie? 13 He created man from sounding clay like unto pottery, 14 and He created the jinn from smokeless fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has set flowing two seas that appear to meet. 19 and between them is a barrier which they do not overpass. 20 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 21 Out of them come pearls and coral. 22 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 23 And His are the ships going and coming in the seas, like mountains. 24 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 25
