The Embryo (Al-Alaq)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Read with the name of your Lord Who created, 1 Created man from an embryo; 2 Read, for your Lord is most beneficent, 3 He Who taught (the use of) the pen,- 4 He taught the human being what he did not know. 5 No indeed; surely Man waxes insolent, 6 That he thinketh himself independent! 7 Indeed, to your Lord is the return. 8 HAST THOU ever considered him who tries to prevent 9 A bondman of Ours when he prayeth 10 Have you considered if he were on the right way, 11 Or had enjoined piety, (it would have been better)? 12 Have you considered if he gives the lie to the truth and turns (his) back? 13 Is he then unaware that Allah seeth? 14 By no means! If he desist not We shall seize and deal him by the forelock 15 the lying, rebellious forehead! 16 So let him now call his gang! 17 We, will call the Zabania (the harsh angels of Hell). 18 No indeed! Do not obey him, but prostrate yourself and come closer to God. ۩ 19
God the Almighty always says the truth.
