Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 and my chest will become constricted and my tongue will not be loosed (in my speech), therefore, send to Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 Send forth with us the Children of Israel' 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst; and thou art of the ingrates. 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 "And this is the past favour with which you reproach me, that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 So [Musa (Moses)] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
