The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ When the great event comes to pass, 1 There is no denying that it will befall - 2 abasing, exalting, 3 When the earth will be shaken with a terrible shake. 4 And the mountains are broken down, crumbling 5 and become like scattered dust particles, 6 you shall be divided into three parties, 7 Companions of the Right, what are the Companions of the Right? 8 Those on the Left -- how unlucky are those on the Left! 9 As for the Foremost, they will be the foremost! 10 Those are the ones brought near [to Allah] 11 They are in Gardens of peace. 12 (a throng of the ancients 13 and how few of the later folk) 14 On thrones decorated, 15 Reclining on them, facing one another. 16 There will circulate among them young boys made eternal 17 With goblets and ewers and a cup of limpid drink. 18 Unheady, uninebriating; 19 And such fruits as they fancy, 20 and any flesh of fowl that they desire. 21 And (there are) fair ones with wide, lovely eyes, 22 like pearls preserved in their shells, 23 A recompense for that which they have been working. 24 There they shall hear no idle talk nor any sinful speech. 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 As for those of the right hand -- how (happy) those of the right hand -- 27 [They, too, will find themselves] amidst fruit laden lote-trees, 28 and flower-clad acacias, 29 In shade long-extended, 30 and flowing water, 31 And fruits numberless, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And carpets raised. 34 Indeed We formed them (the houris and all believing women), 35 and made them virgins, 36 Loving, of equal age. 37 For the companions of the right [who are] 38

Notes and Instructions
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
