The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah)
96 verses, revealed in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ WHEN WHAT IS to happen comes to pass -- 1 no soul will deny its coming. 2 It will bring down [some] and raise up [others]. 3 When the earth is violently shaken 4 And the mountains will be crushed, blown to bits. 5 Becoming dust scattered abroad, 6 On that day, you (mankind) will be divided into three groups: 7 (First) those on the right hand; what of those on the right hand? 8 And (as to) the companions of the left hand; how wretched are the companions of the left hand! 9 And those who surpassed have indeed excelled. 10 Those! they shall be the brought nigh, 11 in the beautiful Paradise. 12 A throng of the ancients, 13 And a few from the latter. 14 On couches wrought of gold, 15 Reclining on them, facing each other. 16 Round about them shall go youths never altering in age, 17 with goblets and ewers, and a cup from a spring 18 that will neither make the head throb, nor intoxicate, 19 and with fruit of any kind that they may choose, 20 and with the flesh of any fowl that they may desire. 21 And wide eyed houris 22 like unto pearls [still] hidden in their shells. 23 A Reward for the deeds of their past (life). 24 Therein they shall hear no idle talk, no cause of sin, 25 Except the saying, “Peace, peace.” 26 The companions of the right - what are the companions of the right? 27 They shall be in the midst of thornless lote trees, 28 And [banana] trees layered [with fruit] 29 and extended shade, 30 And water gushing, 31 and fruits in abundance, 32 Neither intercepted nor forbidden, 33 And raised couches; 34 and the noble maidens that We have created 35 and shall have made them virgins, 36 loving companions, matching in age, 37 like of age for the Companions of the Right. 38

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
