These (people of the right hand) consist of many from the ancient 39 And a multitude from the later generations. 40 And the companions of the left - what are the companions of the left? 41 Amidst scorching wind and scalding water. 42 in the shadow of a smoking blaze, 43 [shadows] neither cooling nor soothing. 44 Verily they have been heretofore affluent. 45 And they have been persisting in the heinous offence. 46 ever saying, 'What, when we are dead and become dust and bones, shall we indeed be raised up? 47 and perhaps, too, our forebears of old?" 48 Say, "Indeed, the earlier ones and the later ones 49 “They will all be gathered together on the appointed time of the known day.” 50 and then, verily, O you who have gone astray and called the truth a lie, 51 Shall surely eat of the tree of Az-Zqqum. 52 And fill (your) bellies with it; 53 and on top of this you will drink boiling water 54 drink it as the most insatiably thirsty camels drink!" 55 This will be their welcome on the Day of Judgment. 56 We! it is We Who created you: wherefore confess ye not? 57 Have ye seen that which ye emit? 58 Did you create it or was it We who created it? 59 It is We who have ordained death for all of you; and We cannot be prevented 60 To transfigure you and create you in (forms) that you know not. 61 And you have already known the first creation, so will you not remember? 62 Just ponder over what you sow: 63 Is it you who cultivate it, or is it We Who develop it? 64 If We will We can make it like dry trampled hay, so you would keep crying out. 65 Surely we are burdened with debt: 66 Rather, we have been prevented' 67 Have you thought about the water you drink? 68 Did you send it down from the clouds, or did We send it? 69 If We had so pleased, We could have made it bitter. So why would you not give thanks? 70 Have ye observed the fire which ye strike out; 71 Produce ye the tree thereof, or are We the Producer? 72 We have made it a memorial (of Our handiwork), and an article of comfort and convenience for the denizens of deserts. 73 Therefor (O Muhammad), praise the name of thy Lord, the Tremendous. 74

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
