▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ I do not need to swear by the setting of the stars 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 it is surely a noble Koran 77 in a well-guarded preserved Book, 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 a revelation from the Sustainer of all the worlds! 80 Is it this discourse that ye hold lightly? 81 And make [the thanks for] your provision that you deny [the Provider]? 82 Why can you not help a soul dying 83 And you wait for the moment (of death), 84 And We are nearer to him than you are, but you cannot see. 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 [ALL OF YOU are destined to die.] Now if one happens to be of those who are drawn close unto God, 88 happiness [awaits him in the life to come,] and inner fulfillment, and a garden of bliss. 89 If he is of those of the right hand, 90 he will be greeted with, "Peace be to you," by those on the Right. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 This is indeed the ultimate truth. 95 Therefore glorify the name of your Lord, the Great. 96
True are the words of God the Almighty.
