۞ Then I swear by the setting of the stars, 75 and this is indeed a mighty oath, if only you knew 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 In a Book kept hidden 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 A revelation by the Lord of the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Then why, when the soul at death reaches the throat 83 And you are at that time looking on - 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 If you are true to your claim that there is no Day of Judgment, 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 For him shall be comfort, and fragrance and a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 And burning in Hellfire 94 Verily this! this is the very truth. 95 Therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) proclaim the Purity of the name of your Lord, the Greatest. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah). Sent down in Mecca after T H (Taa Haa) before The Poets (Alshu'araa')
