Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ HALLOWED be He in whose hand all dominion rests, since He has the power to will anything: 1 Who created death and life in order to try you to see who of you are best of deed. He is all-mighty and forgiving, 2 who created the seven heavens, one above the other. You cannot see any inconsistency in the creation of the Merciful. Return your gaze, do you see any crack! 3 Yea, turn thy vision [upon it] again and yet again: [and every time] thy vision will fall back upon thee, dazzled and truly defeated. 4 We have decked the lowest heavens with torches. With these torches We have stoned the devils and We have prepared for them the torment of hell. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord is the punishment of hell, and evil is the resort. 6 When they are cast into it they will hear it sighing, the while it boils 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say: "Yes indeed; a Warner did come to us, but we rejected him and said, 'Allah never sent down any (Message): ye are nothing but an egregious delusion!'" 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 So they shall acknowledge their sins, but far will be (forgiveness) from the inmates of the burning fire. 11 Indeed for those who fear their Lord without seeing is forgiveness, and a great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Would He not know, He Who has created, when He is All-Subtle, All-Aware? 14
