Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ Blessed is He in whose hand is dominion, and He is over all things competent - 1 [He] who created death and life to test you [as to] which of you is best in deed - and He is the Exalted in Might, the Forgiving - 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then repeat thy look twice over, and thy look will return unto thee dim and it will have become wearied out. 4 And verily We have beautified the world's heaven with lamps, and We have made them missiles for the devils, and for them We have prepared the doom of flame. 5 For those who have disbelieved in their Lord, We have prepared the torment of hell, the most terrible place to return. 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 Almost bursting for fury. Whenever a group is cast into it, its keeper shall ask them: Did there not come to you a warner? 8 They will reply: "Yea, a warner did indeed come unto us, but we gave him the lie and said, 'Never has God sent down anything [by way of revelation]! You [self-styled warners] are but lost in a great delusion!"' 9 And they say: Had we been wont to listen or have sense, we had not been among the dwellers in the flames. 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 Verily! Those who fear their Lord unseen (i.e. they do not see Him, nor His Punishment in the Hereafter, etc.), theirs will be forgiveness and a great reward (i.e. Paradise). 12 Whether you speak in secret or aloud, He knows what is in every heart. 13 Shall He not know, who created? And He is the All-subtle, the All-aware. 14
