Indeed for the pious, with their Lord, are Gardens of Serenity. 34 Shall We then treat those who have surrendered as We treat the guilty? 35 What is the matter with you? How judge ye? 36 Or have you a Book through which you learn. 37 #NAME? 38 Or have ye oaths from Us reaching to the Day of Resurrection, that you shall be that which ye judge? 39 Ask them (O Muhammad) which of them will vouch for that! 40 Or have they other partners [besides God]? Let them bring forth their other partners, if what they say be true. 41 On the day when the terrible torment approaches, they will be told (in a mocking way) to prostrate themselves, but they will not be able to do it. 42 Their looks cast down, abasement shall overtake them; and they were called upon to make obeisance indeed while yet they were safe. 43 Hence, leave Me alone with such as give the lie to this tiding. We shall bring them low, step by step, without their perceiving how it has come about: 44 A (long) respite will I grant them: truly powerful is My Plan. 45 Or, do you ask them for a wage, so that they are burdened with debt? 46 Or is the Unseen in their keeping, and so they are writing it down? 47 So be patient with the judgement of your Lord and do not be like the Companion of the Whale (Jonah), when he called out choking inwardly. 48 Had not grace from his Lord reached him, he had surely been cast into the wilderness in a plight. 49 His Lord therefore chose him and made him among those deserving His proximity. 50 When the unbelievers hear the Reminder, they nearly strike you down with their glances, and say: 'Surely, he is mad' 51 although this is nothing but an Exhortation (to goodness) for everyone in the world. 52
