Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Resurrection Verifier; 1 What is the Sure Reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 The Thamud and 'Ad denied the consequential calamity. 4 the Thamud were destroyed by a terrible storm of thunder and lightning; 5 And the 'Ad, they were destroyed by a furious Wind, exceedingly violent; 6 which God let loose against them for seven nights and eight days unremittingly, so that you could have seen its people lying prostrate as though they were the hollow trunks of palm-trees which had fallen down. 7 Can you see any remnant of them now? 8 And Pharaoh, and those before him, and the Cities Overthrown, committed habitual Sin. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, so He seized them with a seizure exceeding [in severity]. 10 Lo, when the waters rose, We bore you in the running ship 11 that We might make it a reminder for you and for heeding ears to hold. 12 And when the trumpet is blown with a single blast, 13 and the earth and the mountains are lifted up and then crushed with a single blow, 14 On that Day shall the (Great) Event come to pass. 15 And the heaven will split asunder, for that Day it (the heaven will be frail (weak), and torn up, 16 And the angels shall be on the sides thereof; and above them eight shall bear on that day your Lord's power. 17 On that Day you shall be brought to judgment: not [even] the most hidden of your deeds will remain hidden. 18 Then he who is given his record in his right hand will exclaim, "Here is my record, read it. 19 Surely, I knew that I should meet my reckoning," 20 And so he will find himself in a happy state of life, 21 in a lofty paradise, 22 Its [fruit] to be picked hanging near. 23 Eat and drink with benefit for that which ye sent on beforehand in days past. 24 But as for he who is given his record in his left hand, he will say, "Oh, I wish I had not been given my record 25 and had not known my account. 26 Oh! Would that the death that came to me in the world had made an end of me! 27 Of no use was even my wealth. 28 Gone from me is my authority." 29 (It will be said): 'Take him and bind him. 30 Then in the Scorch roast him 31 Then into a chain whose length is seventy cubits insert him." 32 Verily, He used not to believe in Allah, the Most Great, 33 "And would not encourage the feeding of the indigent! 34 therefore he today has not here one loyal friend, 35 Nor food other than suppuration (filth) 36 None will eat it except the sinners. 37
