The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
56 verses, revealed in Mecca after Unknown Person (Al-Muzzammil) before The Key (Al-Faatehah)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O you enveloped in your cloak! 1 Rise up and warn! 2 Glorify your Lord, 3 Thy raiment purify, 4 And uncleanness do shun, 5 and bestow not favour in order to seek from others a greater return, 6 But for your Lord be patient. 7 Then when the horn shall be blown, 8 Surely that day will be a day of anguish, 9 and it will not be easy for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me with him whom I alone have created, 11 and to whom I have granted resources in abundance, 12 And sons dwelling in his presence, 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 And who yet coveteth that shall increase. 15 Never! For he is an enemy to Our signs! 16 [and so] I shall constrain him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 He planned and plotted. 18 So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 19 Yea, Woe to him; How he plotted!- 20 He then dared to lift his gaze. 21 and then he frowns and glares, 22 Then he turned back and was big with pride, 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 Nothing more than the speech of a man!" 25 I will cast him into the fire of Hell. 26 And what could make thee conceive what hell-fire is? 27 It spares not, neither leaves alone 28 it scorches (even) the skin. 29 and it has nineteen angelic keepers. 30 We have appointed only angels to be wardens of the Fire, and their number have We made to be a stumbling-block for those who disbelieve; that those to whom the Scripture hath been given may have certainty, and that believers may increase in faith; and that those to whom the Scripture hath been given and believers may not doubt; and that those in whose hearts there is disease, and disbelievers, may say: What meaneth Allah by this similitude? Thus Allah sendeth astray whom He will, and whom He will He guideth. None knoweth the hosts of thy Lord save Him. This is naught else than a Reminder unto mortals. 31

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
