No, by the moon! 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 A warning to mortals, 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is a pledge for its own deeds; 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 concerning the sinners, 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will say: "We were not of those who prayed; 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 "And we used to talk falsehood (all that which Allah hated) with vain talkers. 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 till the certainty (death) overtook us' 47 The intercession of the intercessors will be of no benefit to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As if they were startled donkeys 50 That had fled from a lion? 51 Forsooth, each one of them wants to be given scrolls (of revelation) spread out! 52 No, indeed they have no fear of the Everlasting Life. 53 Nay, verily, this is an admonition 54 So whoever pleases may mind it. 55 And what advice will they heed, except if Allah wills? Only He deserves to be feared, and His only is the greatness of forgiving. 56
God the Almighty always says the truth.
