No, by the moon! 32 And by the Night as it retreateth, 33 And by oath of the morning, when it spreads light. 34 Verily, it (Hell, or their denial of the Prophet Muhammad SAW, or the Day of Resurrection) is but one of the greatest calamities. 35 A warning for people -- 36 For the one among you who wishes to come forward or stay back. 37 Each soul is held in pledge for what it earns, 38 Except those on the right side. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 about the guilty ones: 41 "What was it that brought you to Hell?" 42 They will answer: "We were not among those who prayed; 43 and we did not feed the poor; 44 “And used to dwell on evil matters with those who think evilly.” 45 and we gave the lie to the Day of Judgement 46 Until there came to us the certainty." 47 So no intercession will avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as though they were frightened wild asses, 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Rather each one of them desires that he should be given open Books. 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not heed unless Allah willeth (it). He is the fount of fear. He is the fount of Mercy. 56
