No, by the moon! 32 By the night when it departs. 33 And by the dawn when it brightens, 34 Lo! this is one of the greatest (portents) 35 a warning to humankind, 36 a warning to everyone of you whether he would like to come forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul will be in captivity for its deeds 38 Except the companions of the right, 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 of those who were lost in sin: 41 'What thrusted you into Sakar?' 42 They shall say, 'We were not of those who prayed, and 43 And did not feed the needy, 44 and we indulged in vain talk with those who indulged in vain talk, 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 until the inevitable event overtook us.” 47 The mediation of no mediators will avail them then. 48 Then what is the matter with them that they turn away from admonition?- 49 like frightened donkeys 50 Fleeing away from a lion. 51 Nay, but everyone of them desireth that he should be given open pages (from Allah). 52 Nay, verily. They fear not the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 Then whoever wills will remember it. 55 And they will not mind unless Allah please. He is worthy to be feared and worthy to forgive. 56
