Nay; I swear by the moon, 32 And by the night when it withdraws, 33 and the dawn when it is white, 34 That (Hell) is surely one of the greater (signs), 35 a warning to mortal man 36 to whoever of you desires to go forward or lag behind. 37 Every soul is pledged to what it does, 38 save the Companions of the Right; 39 In Gardens they will question 40 About the guilty: 41 What has brought you into hell? 42 They will answer: “We were not among those who observed Prayer, 43 and neither did we feed the needy; 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 “And used to deny the Day of Justice.” 46 Till the Inevitable came unto us. 47 So, the intercession of intercessors will not avail them. 48 So what is the matter with them that they turn away from the advice? 49 as if they were startled asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, everyone of them desires that he should be given pages spread out (coming from Allah with a writing that Islam is the right religion, and Muhammad SAW has come with the truth from Allah the Lord of the heavens and earth, etc.). 52 No indeed; but they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 There is no doubt that the Quran is a guide. 54 and whoever wills may take it to heart. 55 And they will not remember, except that God wills; He is worthy to be feared, -- worthy to forgive. 56
