Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
