Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
